Avocados and peaches started in a dead tree somewhere on the Russian River.
“Shade is critical for young feral trees. Especially shade that blocks the afternoon sun. And LOTS of mulch. Finding little micro basins and canyons that are sunken (closer to the water table). All this helps. Your heart will guide you best.”

It’s worth checking back later, and even bringing some biochar compost for future sows!
