Ragumay Fruit

Flavor: Ragumay is described as tasting “sweet and thick.”

Structure: Ragumay has seeded pods stacked around a core stem, surrounded by spiky stems that peel off when ripe.

Relatives: Based on this structure and origin location, it is probably related to jackfruit, cempadak, utu, breadfruit, durian and similar.

Aguaje

Cargo, fatty fruit, fruit, fruit review, want, want to visit, Wish

Mauritia flexuosa, AKA aguaje, is a palm fruit that is fatty and a savory, cheesy flavor.

They are found in Asia and South America, so I may have to travel to get to them, though I also wish that I could propagate them in the Bay Area and that I would be naked in nature when I try them.

Why?

It’s an innate right
People are squeamish about their own bodies due to being required to wear clothes
Clothes are an environmental pollutant
We need to protect people’s right to live in their own skin
There’s an epidemic of low Vitamin D

I wish for more creative interactions between people, even through the supply chain.

For example: A person can forage avocados or buy avocados wholesale then offer them to neighbors at a lower price than stores- and offer time-limited delivery of ripe avocados at a premium.

I wish we all grew…

…especially of tropical fruits such as mango, papaya, avocado, citrus, cherimoya, sapote, durian, and jackfruit.

It’s as easy as putting dirt in a planter to be ready for when you enjoy an especially delicious fruit that you would like to grow more of, then periodically watering.
