Delete Your Account

What deleting does

Deleting your account is immediate and permanent. There is no grace period, no archived copy, and no way for us or for you to restore it afterwards. If you want a copy of anything you have posted, save it before you delete.

This cannot be undone. Your username is released when the account is deleted, and someone else may register it later.

What is deleted

Everything below is erased from the live database at the moment you confirm:

Your account	Profile, username, email address, date of birth, bio, avatar, payment handles, interests and all settings.
Notes and media	Every note you posted, its photos, videos, audio, text blocks, polls, questions, drawn lines, prices and listings.
Your profile feed	Your live profile and every status posted to it.
Lists and templates	Lists you made, their items and subscriptions, and your saved note templates.
Social	Friendships, friend requests, friend lists, group memberships, groups you created (and their group chats), handshakes and comments.
Activity	Votes, RSVPs, cart items, notifications, saved searches, quest and game progress, and your Loops balance and ledger.
Location	Your GPS presence trail, which is short-lived in any case: those rows are purged automatically after 24 hours.

What is kept, and why

Two things deliberately survive, because deleting them would damage other people's records rather than protect yours:

Messages you sent to other people stay in their conversations, with the text replaced by [deleted] and your name removed. Erasing the rows outright would tear holes in threads belonging to people who did not delete anything.
Completed order and payment records are retained where we are required to keep them for tax, accounting and fraud-prevention purposes. They are financial records of a transaction, not profile data, and they are not linked back to a live account.

Nothing else is retained, and neither of these is used to rebuild a profile.

If you have lost access to the account, ask us to delete it and we will verify the address before doing anything. We aim to action requests within 30 days.

Deleting the app is not deleting your account

Uninstalling the LeelaMaps app removes it from your device but leaves your account and its data on the platform. Use this page to delete the account itself. You can reach it at any time at https://leelamaps.com/delete-account, with or without the app installed.

You can also delete from inside the app: menu → Profile & Live → Danger Zone → Delete My Account.
